Okay hear me out. I have no video or photo of the occurrence, just a weird story about a strange attachment to a ring.
My mom was adopted by a coarse woman that, in all reality, probably had no business in the adoption process. Her childhood was less than stellar, and this woman had no qualms with detaching from my mom when she got older and had me and my brother. Mom wasn’t too torn up about not speaking with her, but felt a great loss when it came to her adoptive dad’s passing.
Years forward, stepmom gets sick. We went to visit her in the hospital, and the reality set in that I was 22 years old at the time, when I was about 6 the last time she had seen me. This changed nothing, and that coarseness had no change. My mom is a very caring woman, with a heart that said “I should go visit her in this dark time”. I was simply there for support.
When stepmom passes, my mom had no interest in inheritance. Her step-aunt, however, felt she was the appropriate heir. While we did get an unexpected inheritance, my mom also received a ring. It was a beautiful ring, the diamonds were rather large on a gold band setting. Immediately my mom noticed that she felt… off… while holding the ring. She felt uneasy and sick to her stomach. She put the ring in a bag and left it in a shed outside, as she is an avid paranormal believer and felt that thing was cursed. She then asked me to get it posted online so it could be sold to someone that wouldn’t be followed (in hopes anyway). So, I picked it up and brought it to my house. I showed it to my husband, who held it for only a second when his arm started hurting. I brushed it off then, not so much now.
Later in the night, we got settled in. Now our house was built in the 40’s and we needed to keep the bedroom door latched so my cats wouldn’t jump on my husband and send him flying on to the ceiling fan. Our dog stays in the room with us. As we got settled, we had just turned off the TV when a giant SLAM happened to that bedroom door. The dog immediately starts barking and wants to attack, and both me and my husband jumped clear out of the bed. It sounded like someone had their fists raised above their head and slammed them into the door, even making the door rattle.
My husband does a parameter check, nothing is amiss. My cats are hiding in the closet. The only thing I could think of was that ring. I immediately took it back to my mom’s shed the next day. On the day of stepmom’s funeral, my mom placed the ring in the casket.
We haven’t had anything like that happen since.
